The VA provides health care and essential services to millions of veterans who have proudly served our country. These cuts would hurt them and their families. Anyone who has made the sacrifice to defend the United States deserves respect, not to be played like pawns by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency. Colorado is home to more than 400,000 veterans. Michael has long pushed to ensure they receive the resources and the quality care they need—for their physical and mental health. In 2022, he helped pass the PACT Act, which expanded health coverage to 3.5 million veterans who were exposed to burn pits and hazardous toxins while serving. These Trump cuts could jeopardize support for veterans suffering from illnesses from toxic exposure. Disgraceful. While the Trump administration wants to quietly make cuts to the VA, we will make sure Coloradans know exactly what they are up to.
