Our lawmakers’ job is to ensure that the 72 million people who rely on Medicaid for healthcare don’t lose that lifeline. It ensures that her 60-year-old sister, who has schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, can receive care at home, her grandchildren get the support they need, and that she, as a care worker, can continue providing for her family without falling through the cracks.
