This has been an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking week in our country. The pandemic has taught us just how interdependent we are - that we need each other to ensure our collective well-being and that fighting for equity and justice for Black communities is vital to the health of our democracy.
In this time of great challenge, we’re looking forward to gathering with you on Tuesday, June 9 to honor our community's resilience in a virtual online format. If you haven’t already, please RSVP here.
We have an inspiring and uplifting evening program lined up. The inimitable stand-up comedian, actress, and writer Kerry Coddett will be our host. The program will be a moment to reflect on the challenges we are experiencing today, but also a moment to celebrate the work of the NYIC community including our Member of the Year organization, the New York State Nurses Association led by Judy Sheridan-Gonzalez and the New York United campaign and its impact on both members and individuals with a spotlight on La Colmena and member Maribel Torres. We’ll showcase our beautiful community of staff, supporters, donors, activists and elected officials and enjoy a special music mix.
This is our opportunity to join together across all of New York State and the country, uplifting and engaging with one another. Registration is complimentary but we ask that if you are able, please support the event with a gift of any size to help us right now.
