BJS has released PREA Data Collection Activities, 2024, the 17th report in a series on Prison Rape Elimination Act data collection activities. This report describes BJS’s efforts in 2024 to measure the incidence and prevalence of rape and sexual assault in adult correctional and juvenile justice facilities, including three independent collections: the Survey of Sexual Victimization, the National Inmate Survey, and the National Survey of Youth in Custody.
