Trump Launches Series of Strikes Against Houthi Terrorists

Associated Press: The United States under President Donald Trump has launched a new campaign of intense airstrikes targeting Yemen’s Houthi rebels. This weekend’s strikes killed at least 53 people, including children, and wounded others. The campaign is likely to continue, part of a wider pressure campaign by Trump now targeting the Houthis’ main benefactor, Iran, as well. The Houthi rebels attacked over 100 merchant vessels with missiles and drones, sinking two vessels and killing four sailors, from November 2023 until January this year. Their leadership described the attacks as aiming to end the Israeli war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The campaign also greatly raised the Houthis’ profile in the wider Arab world and tamped down on public criticism against their human rights abuses and crackdowns on dissent and aid workers (Associated Press). Dr. Eli David: Reports in Yemen that several of Iran’s IRGC members were eliminated in tonight’s US attacks on Houthi targets (X).

Donald Trump Steps Up Threat Against Houthis: “IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences”

HotAir: At long last, the United States has taken significant and sustained action against Islamist terrorism and piracy in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Donald Trump ordered large-scale strikes against Iranian proxy army Houthis in Yemen this weekend in response to eighteen months of attack on shipping in one of the most heavily used sea lanes in the world. Those strikes continue to today, and Trump vowed they will continue until the Houthis stop attacking international trade — and warned the Iranians as well. In fact, Trump followed up by making clear that he will hold Iran responsible for any further Houthi attacks (HotAir). Donald Trump: Let nobody be fooled! The hundreds of attacks being made by Houthi, the sinister mobsters and thugs based in Yemen, who are hated by the Yemeni people, all emanate from, and are created by, IRAN. Any further attack or retaliation by the “Houthis” will be met with great force, and there is no guarantee that that force will stop there. Iran has played “the innocent victim” of rogue terrorists from which they’ve lost control, but they haven’t lost control. They’re dictating every move, giving them the weapons, supplying them with money and highly sophisticated Military equipment, and even, so-called, “Intelligence.” Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN, and IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire (Truth)!

Trump Decrees Biden’s Last-Minute Pardons “VOID”

National Review: President Donald Trump declared his predecessor’s last-minute pardons, including those for members of the House January 6 Select Committee and the Biden family, to be “void, vacant, and of no further force or effect” on Monday because the pardons were allegedly signed by a mechanical autopen rather than by the Democrat’s own hand. Trump pointed to the recently uncovered autopen signature as proof that former President Joe Biden did not in fact sign the pardoning documents nor did he know about them (National Review). Donald Trump: The “Pardons” that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen. In other words, Joe Biden did not sign them but, more importantly, he did not know anything about them! The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them, and the people that did may have committed a crime (Truth)!

Mother Claims School Forced Her Daughter to Change in Front of Trans Student, Faculty Members

This is beyond disgusting. Daily Wire: The mother of a girl attending an Illinois middle school said that after her daughter refused to change her clothes in front of a biological boy who identified as a transgender girl, school officials stepped in and forced her to do so. Nicole Georgas told the story of what she said happened to her 13-year-old daughter and other girls at Shepard Middle School while speaking at a Deerfield School District 109 School Board meeting on Thursday (Daily Wire). Libs of TikTok: Mom says her daughter was forced to use the bathroom and locker room with a male. When girls complained and didn’t want to change in front of a male for gym class, school staff went into the locker room to make sure they undressed. They need to be investigated immediately (X).

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem Announces the Border Wall Construction Will Resume

Townhall: Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced that a new stretch of border wall will be constructed along the United States-Mexico border (Townhall). Secretary Kristi Noem: Announcing today – we’re building 7 more miles of wall. Make America Safe Again (X)! Fox News: Trump’s predecessor, former President Joe Biden, moved on his first day in office to halt all border wall construction along the U.S.-Mexico border. In late 2023, construction on roughly 20 miles of border barriers in South Texas was allowed to commence under Biden, since the money had already been appropriated by Congress during Trump’s first administration. Under Trump’s first term, approximately 458 miles of primary and secondary barriers were built, per CBP data. This included parts of the current wall that were dilapidated and needed to be replaced (Fox News).

Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Denies Trump’s Attempt to Reinstate Order to Fire Federal Employees

Just the News: The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday rejected an appeal from the Trump administration and upheld a lower court order demanding that the administration rehire thousands of probationary employees across a range of federal agencies. Judge William Alsup last week determined that the administration unlawfully fired thousands of employees from the Departments of Agriculture, Defense, Energy, Interior, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs and ordered their reinstatement. The panel of the Ninth Circuit ruled 2-1 in favor of upholding Alsup’s order (Just the News). Hill: The Trump administration has moved rapidly to reshape the federal bureaucracy, including by firing thousands of federal employees in their probationary period, which typically extends for the first year or two of a given employee’s role (Hill).

Fani Willis Ordered to Pay $54,000 in Attorney Fees, Hand Over Documents Relates to Trump Case After Stonewalling Access

Townhall: Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis just got some more horrible news. A judge has ordered her to pay over $54,000 in attorney’s fees and hand over documents her office held in violation of Georgia’s Open Records Act. Willis withheld important documentation related to the prosecution against President Donald Trump. Ashleigh Merchant, the attorney who filed an open records request to obtain information related to Willis’ inappropriate relationship with another prosecutor she had appointed to Trump’s case, said she had been “completely stonewalled” by Willis’ office in September 2023 (Townhall). Reporter Phil Holloway: Willis’ handling of requests indicates a lack of good faith. Defendants’ failures were intentional, not in good faith, were groundless and vexatious” (X).

MSNBC Host Quits Democrat Party on Live Television Over Senator Chuck Schumer Passing CR Bill

She is telling the world she would prefer the government to be shut down. Daily Wire: MSNBC host Symone Sanders Townsend abruptly announced her departure from the Democratic Party over the weekend, shocking her cohosts as she declared that Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) — and the handful of other Senate Democrats who had voted with him to pass the Republican-led continuing resolution — “blew it.” Townsend worked for a number of prominent Democrats and leftists prior to her stint on MSNBC, serving as press secretary for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and then as a senior adviser first to former President Joe Biden and then to former Vice President Kamala Harris — but she said that Schumer’s move to avert a government shutdown was enough to finally drive her out (Daily Wire). An American Finishes in First Place at the Los Angeles Marathon in 31 Years

ABC: Matt Richtman of Illinois became the first American to win the Los Angeles Marathon since 1994 Sunday, topping the second-largest field in race history in a blistering time of 2:07:56. Richtman, who attended Montana State University, triumphed despite running in just his second marathon (ABC).

NASA Astronauts Expected to Splash Down Tuesday

NBC: NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore are finally coming home. The astronauts, who had planned to visit the International Space Station for just a week but have been there more than nine months, are set to depart Tuesday (NBC). CBS: For Wilmore and Williams, splashdown will close out a repeatedly extended mission totaling 286 days and 7 hours. They originally expected to spend just eight days or so in orbit (CBS).
