Dear A.,
Israel has launched a new wave of airstrikes against Hamas targets across the Gaza Strip, after the terror group rejected multiple U.S. offers, accepted by Israel, to extend the ceasefire deal and free the 59 hostages it is holding captive in Gaza.
The strikes reportedly targeted Hamas commanders, senior officials, and the terror group’s infrastructure. According to the IDF, Hamas had been preparing new attacks against Israel and taken steps to rearm in recent weeks.
Israeli officials notified the Trump administration in advance of the strikes. The administration has been unequivocal with Hamas that the terror group was risking renewed fighting by refusing to free the hostages and being intransigent in negotiations.
Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz have instructed the IDF to take strong military action against the terror group “in order to achieve the objectives of the war…including the release of all of our hostages, the living and the deceased.”
The IDF’s Home Front Command has changed its defensive guidelines and raised the threat level for Israeli residents near the Gaza border. School is canceled tomorrow in communities in the south, as the IDF braces for incoming attacks.
Hamas could have ended the war in Gaza months ago by surrendering and freeing the hostages. But it repeatedly refused, choosing instead to prolong the war, plan more attacks on Israel, and fuel more destruction in Gaza.
It is vital that our elected officials speak out, unequivocally condemn Hamas, and stand with Israel as it acts to protect its families.

I urge you to take two minutes tonight to contact your members of Congress and tell them to publicly stand with our ally.
Tonight’s operation comes as American jets continue to strike Iran-backed Houthi terrorists in Yemen, and the IDF targets terror cells in Lebanon, Syria, and the West Bank.
President Trump declared today that, “Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of IRAN, and IRAN will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire!”
I will keep you updated as these developments unfold.
