Dear John,

Black communities are hurting. The murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Arbery, and so many others have led to outrage across the U.S. and the world. Violent crackdowns on protests have brought more anguish. And, this is all in the midst of the COVID-19 continuing to disproportionately impact Black Americans.

Join us in taking action against police brutality and the generational trauma it causes. Call Congress today and ask your Representative to support meaningful police reform legislation.

CALL CONGRESS

This week, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights (LCCR) sent a letter to Congress [[link removed]] outlining the necessary steps for meaningful police reform we need right now and which Physicians for Reproductive Health supports.

Congress needs to protect Black communities from over policing, police brutality, misconduct, harassment, and the taking of lives of Black people with impunity.

We ask white members in our network to be allies and co-conspirators with Black-led movements and recognize and leverage their privilege to combat racism and white supremacy.

These racist policies have persisted far too long, and we must urge all of our Representatives to take action.

Thank you,

Jodi Magee
