Well now, the far right’s assault on gun safety is even closer to home…

Governor DeSantis is working to repeal Florida’s Red Flag Law.

This bipartisan legislation was passed in 2018 after the Parkland shooting. It raised the legal minimum age to purchase a gun, added waiting periods, and allowed courts to seize weapons from dangerous individuals.

And as a former organizer with March for Our Lives, which was founded as a response to the Parkland shooting, this law was the direct product of our advocacy.

But now DeSantis is putting his extreme agenda ahead of our safety, and I refuse to let him take us back.

My work didn’t end with March for Our Lives. I’m still fighting in Congress, introducing legislation like the Office of Gun Violence Prevention Act and organizing year round to amplify the voices of communities impacted the most. But I need you to help me stay here.
