Jack, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer decided to back the Republican-authored bill to fund the federal government. Now, some Democrats are pushing for “younger, fresher” leadership within the Democratic Party. Schumer was the highest ranking of ten Democratic senators who voted for the legislation, which failed to include safeguards against President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk’s ongoing attacks on the federal government.
