Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18th, the Texas House Intergovernmental Affairs Committee is scheduled to hear House Bill 524, authored by Republican Carl Tepper from Lubbock. This bill takes aim at the heart of Ground Game Texas’s work by requiring every ballot initiative to get approval from the Texas Attorney General before getting on the ballot.

The last thing Texans need is our corrupt Attorney General Ken Paxton meddling further in local organizing. HB 524 lets Paxton block local elections before Texans even vote. This is a power grab that strips away local control.

It’s up to us to tell the House Intergovernmental Affairs Committee #HandsOffOurBallots and that #KenIsNoKing
