Hi,

Donald Trump is supporting Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in making cuts across the National Parks system.1

Musk has terminated over 1,000 workers already, with many more expected. That means the 300 million annual visitors to our National Parks will experience overcrowding, trail closures, unmaintained facilities, and a lack of essential services.

Our cherished National Parks, and the visitors who love them, are in real danger. Congress must stand up to Trump and Musk and save our parks!

Sign the petition: Stop Elon Musk and DOGE from destroying our National Parks!

We saw what happened during Trump’s 35-day government shutdown in his first term: protected Joshua trees were cut down for firewood, causing serious damage to this highly fragile, irreplaceable ecosystem. This time, the damage could be permanent.

Protests are already erupting across all 433 National Parks as Americans fight to save these irreplaceable lands from Trump’s far-right agenda. At Yosemite and Zion, workers describe overflowing trash bins, trail closures, and dangerous delays in emergency response.

Our lawmakers must reject Trump and Musk’s attack on our precious National Parks.

Add your name: Stop Trump’s cuts to the National Parks!

Thanks for taking action,

Joey and the team at Demand Progress
