New CWD cases detected in Elk Hunt area, new feedground

CHEYENNE —  The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has reported two new cases of chronic wasting disease: Elk Hunt Area 62 in the Cody Region and on the Horse Creek Feedground, which is located in Elk Hunt Area 84 in the Jackson Region.

CHEYENNE — The passage of House Bill 211, which amends Wyoming Statute 23-3-306 regarding shooting wildlife from vehicles, took effect in February following Gov. Mark Gordon’s official signature. Although the amendment does relax some of the statutes for shooting from a vehicle, important restrictions remain in place and should be noted by the public.


Governor’s Big Game License Coalition allocates $1.5 million for conservation projects

CHEYENNE — The Wyoming Governor’s Big Game License Coalition finalized its 2025 project funding and will allocate $1.5 million for Wyoming wildlife conservation projects.
