Hello Patriots,
This is an Urgent Plea to all God Fearing & Freedom Loving citizens of Colorado and across our nation to take pause and commit to getting in the fight to free Tina Peters. Tina Peters case was never political despite what they are trying to say. It has always been about preserving data which she was persecuted for doing.
We have just received the below statement from Patrick McSweeney, one of the attorneys on Tina's legal team that has been working tirelessly on Tina's behalf.
"This is Patrick McSweeney, counsel for Tina Peters. Based on my numerous telephone conversations with Ms. Peters and reports from others who have visited her recently, I am gravely concerned about her health and her mental condition. She has been subjected to conditions and targeted treatment that are unacceptable. Her nine-year sentence is utterly unacceptable for a woman of 69 years for violations that are non-violent and subject to challenge on appeal. Her sentence also violates the First Amendment because it was expressly based on the exercise of her protected speech under the Free Speech Clause."
The Colorado GOP is asking everyone to support the request of Jared Polis to pardon Clerk Tina Peters in the wake of this devastating news of her rapid deterioration. The testimony of rapid cognitive decline and failing health are consistent with the age and already weak health Clerk Peters was in when she was put into custody. Clerk Peters never even had a speeding ticket prior to the heavy sentencing that could see Clerk Peters die in prison. We are asking for leniency from Governor Polis, and consideration for the reality of her worsening condition and that even public media like Kyle Clark of Channel 9 news expressed their shock at such a harsh sentence to this grandmother.
See the attached Declaration of Linda Good below that was filed in U.S. District Court for The District of Colorado on February 21, 2025. Everything in the Declaration is most concerning, especially regarding the testimony in #30. "Her cognitive abilities are in rapid decline also...." Read it for yourself and see if you do not agree that everything that can be done to get her out of her current situation is an urgent CALL TO ACTION for all of us.
*** Thank you ahead of time for taking the time to contact Governor Polis (contact information below) and request he pardon Clerk Peters. Be respectful of the office in your communications.***
