New Data Reveal the Scale of Biden’s Immigration Surge
By Jason Richwine, March 14, 2025
Excerpt: The foreign-born share of the population now stands at 15.8 percent, which eclipses the highs of the Great Wave at the turn of the 20th century. As the report notes, the Census Bureau projected two years ago that the foreign-born share would not hit 15.8 percent until 2042. That trend has apparently accelerated by 17 years.

The Afghan Refugee Program Is an Unfixable Mess — and May Bring the Next Terrorist Attack
By Phillip Linderman, March 14, 2025
Excerpt: The State Department’s “Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts” (CARE) has largely managed Afghan resettlement, whistleblowers have credibly alleged that CARE officials have tolerated unacceptable security risks in resettling unknown Afghans. Trump Must Assess Damage Done by Biden’s ‘CBP One’ Scheme on Security at Border Ports
By Andrew R. Arthur
Excerpt: With the Trump administration in control of DHS, it’s time for the American people to find out how the last administration’s abuse of the CBP One app, which allowed 1,450 illegal migrants per day to access to schedule “interviews” at the Southwest border ports, impacted the ability of CBP officers to prevent drugs, contraband, terrorists, and criminals from entering into the United States.

My assumption has now been proven correct, so here’s how I expect the next chapter of this saga to play out.
Trump Prepares to Use the Alien Enemies Act
By George Fishman
Excerpt: In January, I wrote that indications pointed to President Trump “seemingly … focus[ing] on using the AEA [Alien Enemies Act] to combat international cartels that have become entwined with ‘mafia states’”. Well, one February executive order (EO) and one March White House fact sheet later, indications point to Mexico as a “mafia state”.

Sorry Mahmoud Khalil, Aliens Do Not Have the Same First Amendment Rights as American Citizens
By George Fishman
Excerpt: Consider that while the Supreme Court has somewhat circumscribed Congress’s plenary power over immigration over the years, this has only been the case regarding procedural due process rights, not substantive rights such as freedom of speech. Consider that the Court has found campaign finance restrictions directed at aliens to be constitutional. Consider that the Court has made clear that deportation does not equate to punishment and has allowed the federal government to single out illegal aliens for deportation based on their support of terrorism.
