A birthday worth celebrating!
Jack Miller is turning 96 years old on March 19, and I hope you will join me in celebrating Jack and his many contributions to civic education and patriotic philanthropy.

Jack Miller’s entrepreneurial talent, long-term vision, and dogged persistence have been the defining features of his life and legacy.

It is for these very qualities that the American Legion recently chose to recognize Jack with its highest honor: the Distinguished Service Medal, presented at the American Legion’s National Convention in New Orleans last August.
It is these same qualities that have placed the center he founded at the fulcrum of the renaissance to reignite civic education. As the chair of the center he founded, Jack’s life inspires me every day to follow his lead and to continue this work in his name.
Won’t you please join me in honoring Jack by making a donation of $96, $960, or even $9600 to support the generational work he started? Take a moment to share an inspiring video about Jack on social media, or send Jack an email with your birthday greeting to [email protected].

The Jack Miller Center is a nonpartisan educational venture to advance the work of scholars who teach and study the ideas, documents, and history we hold in common as Americans. We seek to grow the talent pipeline of university educators who teach the American political tradition, to forge new models for university-based training of K-12 civics and history teachers, and to build a diverse coalition of Americans to ignite a civic education renaissance.
