Join a conversation between Jourdan Hicks, a community correspondent with PublicSource, and two journalists reporting on COVID-19 in Liberia and Colombia. The conversation will cover the stories of the pandemic, issues of race, gender and identity in the world and here in the U.S. through the eyes of journalists.

Join us at 1 p.m. today. We’re excited about this learning opportunity and to be working with World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh on building programming that puts underrepresented experiences at the forefront and demonstrates that local issues are global.

The journalists will cover the COVID-19 situation on the ground across the continents. How do they assess their current situations and what do they make of what’s happening in America amid Black Lives Matter protests in the times of the pandemic? What can we learn from other countries and how do they see the U.S.?

World Affairs Council and PublicSource are hosts.
