America is in pain.

But in this moment, we must find the strength to demand change.

As Democrats, we stand up for justice and accountability.

That means we must demand justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, David McAtee, and the countless others for whom justice is owed.

We must demand structural change to address the systemic racism we’re seeing in the form of police brutality and our broken justice system. And now, we demand answers as our President orders military force against Americans, peacefully protesting police violence against black Americans.

And we must demand accountability for the actions of those in power -- and recognize our repeated failure to do so in the past.

It will take all of us, together, to fight for progress and heal the wounds our society has refused to acknowledge for hundreds of years.

This moment demands our attention. No one can afford to ignore what is happening or sit this fight out.

With so much work to do, it can feel overwhelming: But there are groups on the front lines. Here are a small group of incredible organizations making a difference:

As Americans, we must prove that despite adversity, we will always be there for one another.

And we must always continue to fight for a better America.
