John,

Our country is hurting, there is no denying it. We have lost yet more Black friends, neighbors, and loved ones to bias and bigotry who deserved to see their futures. Our police departments - and our country - have failed to live up to the promise that #BlackLivesMatter. And that must change.

At times like this, it is vital that we come together. That’s why we’re inviting you to Equality Florida’s LGBTQ #BlackLivesMatter Virtual Town Hall tonight, June 3 at 6:00pm ET with Black LGBTQ leaders.

Black transgender people are 2.5 times more likely to be stopped by police for "walking while trans." Black trans people are 6 times more likely to be attacked by police than White trans people. The murder of George Floyd is only the most recent example of why police violence is so dangerous for all Black people, including Black trans people.

Tonight is an opportunity to hear from Black LGBTQ leaders about what’s at stake and what you can do.

Will you join this important conversation? RSVP now.
