CODE RED: A new NBC poll shows that approval of the Democratic Party is at a record low.
Steve Kornacki points out, "In more than 30 years of this poll, we've never seen either party hit a number this low...A lot of that negative rating, it's coming from Democrats themselves who say the party is being too cooperative with Donald Trump." This news on Friday didn't help...
We are at the forefront of pushing back.
Politico reports:
Adam Green, co-founder of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, said "active conversations" are taking place among liberal groups about how to make Schumer pay. He said Schumer will likely face protests over his support for the GOP bill at his tour stops next week for his new book…"He has to be made an example of to enforce Democratic backbone going forward," he said. And it’s far from just progressives.
Multiple senators called us over the weekend when they saw this. Democratic accountability won't be easy, but it's important.
