You’re invited to a critical Special Meeting of the Lake County Republican Executive Committee this Wednesday, March 19, at 7:00 PM at the Tavares Civic Center.

This meeting is happening despite false claims to the contrary, and I want to set the record straight about why it’s so important.

In accordance with the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) County Model Constitution, Article VII(2), over 40% of LCREC members signed a petition to call this meeting.

The purpose is clear: to fill current vacancies by accepting applications and oaths from new members, among other key agenda items.

This is a duly called meeting under our rules, and no last-minute misinformation can change that.

Unfortunately, LCREC member Taylor Yarkosky—who is currently under investigation for writing a fraudulent $4,000 check—sent out a misleading email this morning claiming “
there is no REC meeting this month.”

His false assertion stems from two of the 66 original signatories requesting their names be removed from the petition after it was officially submitted…

However, the RPOF rules and our county constitution are clear: their personal decisions do not invalidate a properly called meeting supported by over 40% of the committee.

This meeting is about ensuring our party remains strong, transparent, and accountable.

We’re coming together to welcome new members and address the business of the Lake County Republican Party—business that some would rather see derailed.
