Right now, some Congressional Republicans are trying to privatize the VA healthcare system that millions of my fellow veterans and I rely on.
This is an unprecedented assault on the Department of Veterans Affairs’ healthcare system. It isn’t reform: it’s demolition and privatization. And it is fiscally reckless.
The VA is being hollowed out in favor of private profits, but I don’t think the VA should be for sale. I’m going to fight like hell to defend the benefits that I, and so many of my fellow veterans, earned, and I need you to stand with me in this fight. Sign my petition to Congress demanding they reject these bills and protect the VA →
The Republicans leading this attack are following the lead of a group called Concerned Veterans for America — but don’t be fooled by the name. This is the billionaire Kochs’ outfit that has been plotting VA privatization for years.
They want to strip the VA of its core functions, and farm veterans out to lower-quality, more expensive, and less accountable private providers instead of investing in the VA.
This isn’t fiscal conservatism. It’s a deliberate choice to weaken and replace a valued public healthcare system with a more expensive and worse private alternative — and I’m up for the fight against this.
Selling off the VA betrays veterans who sacrificed for this nation. We didn’t serve only to come home and watch politicians dismantle the VA. We can’t let this attack slip by unnoticed. The time to speak up is now.
Join me in demanding that Congress reject these bills that would pull our healthcare system apart by signing my petition today →
Thank you,
Chris
