Trump’s been calling the media “the enemy of the people” for years,
threatening to use the power of the government to muzzle journalism he
disagrees with. Now, he’s launching vicious attacks on our freedom of
speech…and we’re going to hold the line to protect it.
After spending months last fall complaining about a 60 Minutes interview
CBS did with Kamala Harris, Trump still can’t let it go. He’s suing CBS
for $10 billion and has pushed his FCC chairman to launch formal
investigations into the media on his hit list – CBS, NPR, and PBS,
But even scarier? His scare tactics seem to be working.
News is leaking that CBS’s parent company is thinking of settling the
lawsuit even though experts agree the case has no legal merit, emboldening
Trump to silence the media over and over again. But we are NOT going to
let him get away with it.

Trump vowed over and over again to get the FCC to strip the broadcast
licenses from networks he disapproves of. Now he’s unleashed a Project
2025 author and new FCC chairman Brendan Carr to do his dirty work — and
CBS, NPR and PBS are first on the list.
Make no mistake: Trump is coming after the First Amendment. And he’s
recruited Musk to join him – first he vowed to defund NPR, and now this
ominous threat:

The good news is we still have time to stop them. To do things like defund
our public media, Republicans will need almost UNANIMOUS support in
Congress. So we’re going to unleash thousands of constituents concerned
about these attacks and overwhelm Congress with demands to protect free
speech.
