Working families can’t trust Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

So many Americans are afraid of identity theft or having their personal
information sold to big companies just to make a profit.

And now, Elon Musk, an unelected billionaire, is seizing the reins of our
federal government and playing fast and loose with Americans’ private
information. It’s horrifying.

Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency has already sent federal
employees emails encouraging them to resign from their jobs. The New York
Times reports that Musk is wreaking havoc on multiple government agencies.

Musk’s government takeover is extremely concerning. His crusade to cut
spending is going unchecked, and his team is attacking federal programs
that are absolutely vital.

Musk bragged about dismantling the government’s top agency for global
humanitarian aid, tweeting that he “spent the weekend feeding USAID into
the wood chipper.”

They have already infiltrated the Department of Treasury, casting aside
the agency’s top officials and even barring Democratic members of Congress
from entering the building.

Now, they’re demanding access to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
Services systems that provide vital health care support for so many
families in New Mexico and across the country.

These
actions are illegal and unconstitutional. When Congress appropriates
funds, the White House does not have the power to override that decision.
And an unelected billionaire like Musk certainly has no right to
Americans’ private information.

We’re making our voices heard and fighting back. Multiple states and
organizations have filed dozens of lawsuits against the Trump
administration seeking to block Musk’s government takeover, including New
Mexico’s Attorney General. This week, hundreds of protesters showed up in
Santa Fe to oppose Trump, Musk, and the chaos this administration is
causing every single day.

It may feel like they’re getting away with this – but the world is
watching. We must stay informed. If we keep shining a light and standing
together, we can fight back and win.
