An unelected billionaire allowing other billionaires to rip us off? Hell no.

Dmv Indivisibles,

Join us and Senator Elizabeth Warren tomorrow, February 10, outside the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau office beginning at 4:15pm and stop Elon’s billionaire grift!

Elon Musk and Donald Trump’s government rampage has a new target: The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is now being ordered to stop its vital work protecting Americans from fraud and exploitation at the hands of banks and corporations.

Since its establishment, the CFPB has saved the people over $21 billion in compensation, canceled debts, and consumer relief, benefitting over 205 million Americans. This is an agency that’s taken on the big banks and corporations ripping off everyday people and won. That’s why Elon wants to eliminate this powerful watchdog -- not because killing it would save us money, but because it would make it that much easier for billionaires like him to take money from us.

Not on our watch. Regular people rely on this agency to protect their money and their livelihoods, and we need everyone in this fight to rally together and show we won’t take these assaults lying down. Register now and join CFPB champion Senator Elizabeth Warren, Indivisibles and allies tomorrow, outside of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau building at 1700 G St, NW, to protect the people and say: HANDS OFF the CFPB!

A core principle behind this event is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

In solidarity,

Indivisible Project is a locally-led, people-powered movement of thousands of local groups in red, blue, and purple states, and in urban, suburban, and rural areas. Our mission is to power and lift up a grassroots movement of local groups to defeat the Trump agenda, elect progressive leaders, and realize bold progressive policies.

Grassroots donations, not foundations or large gifts, are our single largest source of funding. That means we’re accountable to, and fueled by, Indivisibles on the ground. Chip in $7 to keep fueling our movement.
