John, we’ve been getting mixed reports that Elon’s interns are pushing their way into the VA, working out of the same playbook they’ve used at Treasury, USAID, OPM, OMB, and elsewhere.

Those reports started being confirmed last week.

Look — I’m not here to defend the shortcomings of our institutions. I know them better than most. I had to fight my way through the VA to get services and benefits for my brothers after a punishing deployment to Iraq.

But as Elon and his wonderkids demand mass resignations at federal agencies, how many VA nurses, doctors, counselors, and caseworkers are they forcing out? When they access payment systems, how many veterans are going to see their benefits cut? What happens when AI starts doling out automated disability ratings for veterans that don’t come close to what they’re owed?

Nobody elected these people, they’re operating without any statutory authority, and they’re failing to meet even the most basic demands of transparency.

I’m doing everything I can to get accountability and hold the line. I give you my word on that.

But the truth is, it’s going to take a massive movement to stop Elon Musk from dismantling a system that millions of veterans depend on. That means I need you speaking out.
