Dear Neighbor,

I hope you are doing well. In recent weeks, aggressive and hostile ICE actions have caused fear and uncertainty across our city, especially among our immigrant communities. Now more than ever, it is crucial that we come together to ensure our neighbors feel informed, supported, and protected.

That’s why I’m proud to share an initiative I helped develop alongside the City Council’s Communications Team to equip New Yorkers with essential resources.

We’ve launched a Know Your Rights video series in multiple languages to help individuals understand their rights during an ICE encounter. These videos, along with a centralized webpage filled with resources and support services, are designed to make vital information easily accessible to those who need it most.

🔗 Access and share the Know Your Rights webpage here ([link removed]) .

To further extend these resources, we’ve also created social media toolkits featuring Know Your Rights videos in various languages:

📌 Instagram Resources:

I encourage you to share these resources widely to ensure every New Yorker—regardless of language—has the tools to protect themselves and their loved ones.

Together, we can stand strong against fear and ensure our communities remain informed, empowered, and safe.

Thank you for your continued commitment to our neighbors and city.

With gratitude,
Amanda Farías
