Learn About Shawano Lake’s Walleye Management On Feb. 11

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invites the public to join DNR staff on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at the Shawano Middle School in Shawano, Wisconsin, for the fifth meeting in a nine-part series focused on fisheries management in northeast Wisconsin.
This meeting is a part of a Spotlight Series that highlights various fisheries in northeast Wisconsin and will focus on local lake surveys from Waupaca and Shawano counties, specifically highlighting recent 2024 surveys and fish tracking studies on Shawano Lake. Trout stream surveys from the Middle Branch Embarrass watershed will also be discussed.
The meeting will be held in person and virtually via Microsoft Teams from 6 to 8 p.m.
