Email from ENA A Florida candidate railed against “the worldwide Muslim problem.” We can’t let him get to Congress… John,  We recently told you about Donald Trump’s plan for the US to invade and occupy the Gaza Strip indefinitely. It’s an awful plan that amounts to ethnic cleansing which will displace 2 MILLION PEOPLE. But yesterday, Trump expanded on his disastrous comments, saying that he wants to destroy the few remaining Palestinian homes and develop the land into buildings like Trump Tower and resorts like Mar-A-Lago. From CNN: “Think of it as a big real estate site, and the United States is going to own it and we’ll slowly—very slowly, we’re in no rush—develop it. We’re going to bring stability to the Middle East soon,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One. But clearly he is in a rush to expel Palestinians and develop Gaza — because it would enrich him and his family. And it’s hard to put into words just how catastrophic this would be. We can’t let our leaders repeat the mistakes of the past by standing idly by as Trump and Netanyahu carve up Gaza and sell it to the highest bidder in a blatant act of conquest and colonialism. But many of the people whose job it is to hold them accountable — the House Progressive Caucus — are actually enabling these atrocities by voting to send Israel more money and weapons and neglecting to do anything about Trump’s recklessness and cruelty. The people suffering in Gaza can’t put pressure on the House Progressive Caucus to clean up their act but we can on their behalf.
