#WearOrange Action Wednesday: VOICE your support for MA priority bills: - MA budget funding support for Safe and Successful Youth Initiative (SSYI). SSYI is a violence intervention program that has been proven to reduce gun violence in disproportionately affected communities of color. It is a comprehensive state strategy that connects law enforcement, employment, education, public health and youth development agencies to reduce youth violence in the Commonwealth. - MA bills H.2045/S.1388 An Act Relative to Crime Gun Data Analysis & Reporting. Since 2014, crime gun data has been collected by the commonwealth, but not been utilized successfully. This bill would require a report and analysis about the existing data so that legislators and law enforcement can effectively target the source of guns used in crime and reduce gun trafficking in the Commonwealth.
