Washington Free Beacon ([link removed]) (2/07/25) reports: "The Biden administration awarded Canadian electric bus company Lion Electric nearly $160 million to manufacture hundreds of battery-powered buses for school districts nationwide as part of its sweeping climate agenda. In recent weeks, Lion has initiated bankruptcy proceedings, laid off all employees tasked with building its buses, and paused manufacturing operations."

(2/09/25) reports: "Swiss voters rejected a set of rigid emission limits in a plebiscite, dismissing a call for more climate protection over fears that it would stymie the economy. The so-called Environmental Responsibility Initiative, launched by the youth wing of Switzerland’s Green Party, was supported by just 30% of the electorate, according to government data on Sunday."

(2/08/25) reports: "Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed an offer from President Donald Trump that gives financial aid to Ukraine in exchange for the country’s valuable natural resources. This week, Trump signaled that, among other provisions in a possible deal, he would be willing to fund Zelensky’s effort against Russia in exchange for rare Ukrainian minerals."

State Rep. Chris Miller, R-Oakland, said his 'fingers are crossed' that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's pause will halt Illinois solar projects."
