Late on Friday evening, amidst a continuous flurry of announcements, President Trump released his first executive order to "dismantle gun control". The timing of this move is no coincidence, friend, Trump is hoping we won't notice his first bid to tear down the life-saving progress we've fought so hard for – and we're counting on grassroots advocates to speak out today:

The outcome of this order is not yet clear, but there is no doubt that the life-saving progress we’ve made in the past for years is at risk: The order directs the Attorney General to review government actions and agencies for “ongoing infringements of the Second Amendment rights.”

All of the Biden administration's consequential actions to address the nation’s gun violence epidemic – like cracking down on rogue gun traffickers and expanding Brady Background Checks, which lead to the steepest decline in gun homicides in history – will be under scrutiny. 

And let’s make one thing abundantly clear, friend: None of the accomplishments of the past four years are inconsistent with the Second Amendment. These policies are common sense, bipartisan, and supported by the majority of Americans across party lines and they are already reducing gun violence across the country. 

An objective review of these policies would show that, but with the gun industry calling the shots in the Trump White House, there is no telling what fate will befall countless life-saving policies.
