Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I hope you enjoyed gathering with friends and family to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday. Congratulations to the Eagles for their win in Super Bowl LIX! President Trump attended the game and received a resounding, thunderous applause. Taylor Swift (who endorsed Biden) was also in attendance and was booed when she was displayed on the jumbo screen.

Recent CBS Poll Shows Americans Support Pres. Trump
|
A CBS poll conducted February 5th – 7th shows President Trump’s overall job approval rating with a 6-point advantage. The support comes amid Democrat attacks as President Trump works hard to stop fraud and abuse in government, deporting illegal immigrants, stepping up support for Israel, and many additional positive efforts.

New Senator Sworn in; Power Sharing Immediately ended
|
A new State Senator was sworn in Monday last week, securing the Democrats’ 34-seat majority in the Senate to Republicans' 33-seats. Democrats’ first item of business was to break the power sharing agreement that gave both parties equal representation in the Senate. Despite the agreement resulting in productive, bipartisan momentum, Democrats terminated the power sharing as soon as they could so Democrats can return to their radical, far left agenda.
The power-sharing agreement needed 34 votes to overturn and in the minutes leading up to the vote, Democrat Sen. Seeberger spoke on the Floor attempting to explain she has no allegiance to the DFL and that she must vote to represent her district signaling she potentially would be voting with Republicans to block the power-sharing termination. Once voting started, Sen. Seeberger indeed did cast a vote with Republicans but at the last minute changed her vote to join radical Democrats ending the power-sharing agreement.
Families across Minnesota continue to struggle as a direct result of Democrat failed policies. Nevertheless, Democrats continue demonstrating they have zero interest hearing alternative voices. Words are easy, but when put to the test, Democrats seem most interested in advancing only the most radical policies further damaging Minnesota. Democrats opposed every opportunity of bipartisanship. After the floor session, Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson said, "Bipartisanship in the Senate is dead.”

President Trump Works to End Wasteful Spending
|
President Trump continues his efforts rooting out wasteful spending and fraud within the Federal government. At the same time, Democrats in Minnesota are wailing and gnashing of teeth in all committees I attend because Democrat allies are dependent upon copious government spending. I spoke about this in the Education Finance Committee last week which is clipped below (click the below image to view). I highlighted truth change is needed to return Minnesota to greatness.
