This week, I voted to prevent any president from placing a unilateral ban on fracking like the prior administration did.

West Texas is America’s energy powerhouse and we need to

keep it that way.

It’s in our best economic and national security interests to support our energy industries at home, and support our allies with reliable, American energy.

Protecting Healthcare Access

It is always a pleasure to host constituents in my office. I was glad to meet with various TX-23 healthcare leaders who presented me with the Distinguished Community Health Center Advocate award for my support of rural healthcare priorities.

Together, we look forward to building upon our mission to expand access to quality healthcare in Texas.

Fighting for Border Communities

On Tuesday, I joined my friend, Congressman Juan Ciscomani, to discuss our perspectives about the border. As representatives of border districts, and as members on the House Appropriations Committee, we are constantly fighting to ensure our border communities receive the support they need to be safer and more prosperous. 

We will continue to hold Washington accountable on these issues.

Tackling the Fentanyl Crisis

Last week, I voted YES on the HALT Fentanyl Act. This legislation permanently classifies fentanyl at the highest priority level, giving law enforcement the tools they need to tackle this epidemic.

Too many Texans have lost a loved one or a neighbor to an overdose, and I am committed to keeping this poison off our streets.
