Today was an exciting day in the Iowa Senate, as our newest Senator, Mike Zimmer, was just sworn in!

Mike Zimmer ran his campaign on true Iowa values – fully funding our public schools, lowering the cost of living, and helping working Iowans get ahead. Senator Zimmer will fight for those same values here at the Capitol. 

His victory last month showed that Democrats can still win in this state. The momentum is on our side, and this is no time to take our foot off the gas.
