On Friday, the Trump Administration announced a new Executive Order called “Protecting Second Amendment Rights” which directs Attorney General Pam Bondi to review rules, regulations, guidance, and other executive actions concerning guns from the previous administration.
This is a blatant attempt from the White House to rollback the progress that we fought for over the last four years.

This new Executive Order has the potential to put our communities and our safety at risk by:
* Reducing or eliminating key federal funding streams for community violence intervention and gun violence research;
* Weakening the background check system and allowing firearms to be purchased by people who are prohibited from possessing them;
* Undoing Protections for Survivors and undermining efforts that support victims of gun violence through community-based mental health services and safety programs.
