John–
Gun violence is the leading cause of death for children and teens in the
United States.
2024 was the year with the second-highest number of school shootings, and
we've already seen 10 more shootings on school grounds in 2025—only two
months into the year. This week also marks the tragic school shootings at
Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018 and Michigan State University
in 2023. But we're saying: No more.
School is the last place where we should have to worry about gun violence.
Our generation deserves better. Our country deserves better.
Instead of passing laws that can save lives, far-right politicians are
leading the charge to further weaken our gun laws and disrupt the progress
we've made. Just last week, Trump signed a sweeping executive order
calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate "ongoing
infringements" of the Second Amendment.
Concealed carry on school grounds, arming teachers, and similar proposals
risk our safety. We must demand real change—strengthening background
checks, assault weapons bans, and holding the gun industry accountable.
No more tragedies of students dying while trying to learn. No more
politicians offering thoughts and prayers instead of real change to end
gun violence. That's what we're fighting for and that's why we need your
help. Together, we can say enough is enough.
