John: In the lead-up to Robert F. Kennedy’s confirmation hearings, we saw lots of Make Polio Great Again stickers around the Senate buildings, where those who have the power to stop his nomination work. Solid gallows humor? Also deadly serious.
The Senate Finance Committee narrowly advanced RFK Jr.’s nomination to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, and a vote is expected later this week.
His unfounded conspiracy theories make him a dangerous addition to Trump's Cabinet:
* He spread COVID-19 vaccine misinformation and anti-vaccine propaganda;
* He made misleading claims about fluoride in drinking water;
* He suggested Black Americans should have a different vaccine schedule;
* He compared the CDC to Nazi death camps; and so much more.
With views like that, RFK Jr. is in NO position to lead the health care system that serves millions of children and families across the U.S. That's why I'm asking you to join me in standing against RFK Jr.'s confirmation.
