Report detailing funding use for the Pacific Building Shelter Project released for review, public comment
Kitsap County used $1.2 million in Community Development Block Grant - Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Washington State Department of Commerce for the Pacific Building Shelter Project (aka Mile Hill Shelter).
The funds were targeted to benefit primarily low to moderate income individuals with the goal to prepare, prevent and respond to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Prior to grant closeout, Kitsap County is providing an opportunity for public comment on the use of the funds and has opened a 14-day comment period. Additionally, a public hearing will be held by the Kitsap County Board of Commissioners on February 24, 2025, at 5:30pm.
