Today's order is a victory – but our fight continues.

Friend–

BREAKING: Our lawyers were in court this morning defending the citizenship of babies born in the U.S. – and the federal judge sided with us, issuing an order to block President Trump's executive order attempting to end birthright citizenship.

This is the third court to block this unconstitutional order – once again establishing that denying citizenship to children born in the U.S. violates the Constitution.

Thanks to ACLU supporters like you, we're able to continue fighting – and winning – key cases like these to protect immigrant communities and all of us. We won't stop until this order is blocked for good. Will you join us with a donation today to make sure we can keep up the fight for all of our rights? <[link removed]>

We'll keep you informed with updates like these as our cases proceed.

Thanks for being with us,

The ACLU Team

Friend –

We're only 19 days into the new administration and Donald Trump has already attacked transgender people, mandated discrimination, attempted to upend our democratic institutions, launched his aggressive anti-immigrant agenda, and more.

Help us keep up the fight. Donate now to ensure we have the resources to take on the Trump administration at every turn and protect civil liberties nationwide. <[link removed]>

Thanks to supporters like you, the ACLU is leading the fight:

* Immediately upon taking office, the Trump administration took action to end birthright citizenship and tear families apart. Within two hours, our legal team sued to stop these attacks on our immigrant community.

* Just two days later, we sued to stop the Trump administration's plan to expand fast-track deportations without a fair legal process – an attack on our very Constitution.

* This week, the ACLU sued to stop Trump's efforts to end asylum at the border, a move that would put thousands of lives at risk.

* To protect our LGBTQ community, this week, we sued to defend gender-affirming medical care for transgender people nationwide – then again to block the government from denying accurate passports to trans people.

* And we're not just filing lawsuits. At the same time, ACLU organizers are on the ground in communities, sharing Know Your Rights information regarding interactions with ICE and law enforcement and organizing volunteers nationwide.

* Our advocacy teams have mobilized thousands of ACLU supporters to write to their members of Congress and demand that they take action to stop these attacks on our civil rights.

The Trump administration's attacks on our freedoms and civil liberties are a clear and present threat – but we are not backing down. Our ability to continue these fights however hinges on the generous support of people like you. If you've been waiting for the right moment to give, ACLU Supporter, this is it.

Please donate now so we can challenge Trump's attacks on our civil liberties at every turn and protect our civil liberties nationwide. <[link removed]>

Thank you,

The ACLU Team
