Clean water isn’t a luxury, John – it’s a basic human need. But thanks to Trump’s latest attack on environmental protections, rural communities that rely on federal funding for essential water infrastructure are now at risk.

Can you imagine losing access to clean water because of who’s in the White House? Here at SEEC, we know that that’s utterly reprehensible – but it’s a reality that our members in Congress are fighting around the clock to fix. If you’re able to, please chip in to support this time-sensitive work [[link removed]] » [[link removed]]

Chip in → [[link removed]]Last week, Trump’s administration moved to freeze and delay critical funding for sewer systems, treatment plants, and clean water projects – putting the health and safety of millions of Americans in jeopardy. Local officials responsible for ensuring safe and affordable water are now scrambling to figure out how to fill the funding gaps.

This isn’t just reckless behavior, John – it’s dangerous policy with real-life consequences. And it’s part of Trump’s larger war on our climate and environment. Unfortunately, rural communities that need the most support are caught in the crossfire.

Water utility managers across the country rely on low-cost federal loans and grants to fund projects that keep drinking water safe and free of pollution. These projects often cost hundreds of millions of dollars, which small rural communities simply don’t have without federal support.

The executive branch is depriving rural communities of clean drinking water, and SEEC members are committed to focusing on environmental issues like these in the midst of the cascade of chaos unleashed by this administration. Every dollar you give helps these environmental champions keep up this critical work to ensure that no community is at jeopardy of losing something as basic as clean water. Can these climate champions count on you, John? [[link removed]]
