The Trump administration is challenging a federal court order blocking the government's efficiency agency from accessing U.S. Treasury records. And it's not just the clock that's ticking, he knows. It's an antsy Senate, threatening to take matters into its own hands. |

by Sarah Holliday |
The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) was founded in 1890 "to promote Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism across the United States." According to its website, it does not consider itself a political group, and it states that "any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership." However, a recent decision from the DAR seems to contradict both of those statements. |

by Sarah Holliday |
On Thursday, the new secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Scott Turner announced the end to an Obama-era rule that put vulnerable women at greater risk. Former President Barack Obama's 2016 Equal Access Rule was published to "ensure that all individuals have equal access to many of the Department's core shelter programs in accordance with their gender identity."
