** Leadership
------------------------------------------------------------

Greetings, readers. I won’t mince words. It’s chaos out there, and the worst kind: the kind that results in human suffering, when critical services are denied, defunded, stigmatized, hunted, and yanked—illegally, our sector alleges ([link removed]) —after having been authorized by the US Congress, the voice of the people.

This week’s Leadership newsletter theme is “Resolution”—a return to the John Coltrane masterpiece A Love Supreme, of which “Resolution” is the second of four tracks. (That gives us two more newsletters to cover the album!)

With resolution, we continue. And I cannot tell you how excited I am to introduce this week’s offerings.

First, we introduce a new fundraising advice column, Ask Rhea ([link removed]) , in which fundraising whiz, podcaster, consultant, incubator host, and all-around wise woman Rhea Wong ([link removed]) will answer your fundraising questions. Then, we introduce a brand-new three-part series by consultant, multi-time NPQ webinar host, and thinker Ananda Valenzuela, about reimagining and liberating the nonprofit board ([link removed]) from its sometimes-dubious traditions. Plus, a whole piece on the imminent fight over tax issues for nonprofits in 2025 ([link removed]) , by Ted Siefer. Finally, we invite you to attend our upcoming and ever-so-timely webinar, “Advocacy in a Second Trump Administration: A Practical Guide for Leaders on Defending Progress and Advancing Justice
([link removed]) .”

I’m straight-up out of breath.

Thanks always for reading, please hang in there everyone—thanks for your good work! And please hit me up with pitches, tips, general fellowship at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) .
