Donald Trump
is trying to unlawfully slash funding for public and medical health
research at institutions across the country and in California that are
working every day to cure diseases like cancer and Alzheimer's.

So, I filed another lawsuit against the Trump administration—within hours
a judge granted our Temporary Restraining Order.

Some good news in these dark days: A federal judge has
temporarily blocked Trump from reducing health research grants in
California and the other states that were part of this lawsuit.

As this administration tries to defund our public institutions and put the
future of healthcare research at risk, I will stand up for the
extraordinary, forward-thinking work being led by scientists, medical
professionals, and other dedicated workers.
