House Republicans are setting the groundwork to dismantle the Head Start program.

The Republican-led Education Committee released a new report attacking the Head Start Program, writing, “it may be time to make some cuts.”

This is unacceptable. As a proud alum of the Head Start program and a founding member of the Head Start Caucus, Jahana knows the importance of the program firsthand.

Head Start is a wise, cost-effective investment in local communities that leads to greater prosperity for future generations. Research has repeatedly shown that high-quality early childhood education programs can help create advantages that last a lifetime.
