Hi John,
Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes here.
I'm honored to share that I was just elected Chair of the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State, and I’m thrilled to work alongside our new board – Connecticut Secretary of State Stephanie Thomas, Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias, Wisconsin Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski, and Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon.
Our democracy is at a crossroads, and now more than ever, we are committed to leading this vital organization at such a critical moment. I hope you’ll join us in this fight. Here’s why:
Trump and his allies are now calling for the prosecution of political opponents who don't believe the 2020 election was stolen. This includes the very election officials who worked tirelessly to ensure an accurate certification of the 2020 results.
Meanwhile, we’re seeing government officials involved with combating election related disinformation purged from their positions, leaving a dangerous void that bad actors are eager to exploit.
As Democratic Secretaries of State, we have an urgent task in front of us: ensure that democracy prevails and that we continue to protect it from those who seek to undermine it.
In 2026, there are 26 Secretary of State races on the ballot, including four in Democratic-held states that Donald Trump won in 2024: Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin.
This will be a democracy-defining moment for our country, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. That’s why I need you help us lay the groundwork for the road ahead:
Please rush in an urgent $3 contribution to DASS PAC today. Your support helps us defend democracy and elect pro-democracy Secretaries of State across the nation.
