OCA – Asian Pacific American Advocates, a national membership-driven organization of community advocates dedicated toward advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, is seeking a full-time, exempt Programs Associate to coordinate OCA’s youth programs and scholarships, among other programs and events. The Programs Associate is passionate about uplifting and developing underserved Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander youth, and has a desire to contribute to change movements by facilitating educational workshops, open dialogue, and bridging different generations and ethnicities within the AANHPI community.

Job Description
- Execute programming and logistics for the OCA Summer Internship Program
- Includes tracking, communicating, and coordinating with OCA Summer Intern Cohort (in 2025, will consist of 10 youth)
- Work with Sr. Programs Manager to finalize curriculum for the Internship Program
- Execute OCA Scholarship Programs
- Participate in execution of OCA National Convention
- Includes event planning and coordination, on-site labor and customer service interactions, managing OCA Summer Interns on-site
- Collaborates with entire OCA staff
- Gathers testimonials, data, and content from various programs for storytelling and reporting
- Includes Internship, Convention, other programs
- Collaborates with Development and Communications teams
- Coordinate panels, workshops, film screenings, or other types of events and programs for OCA members and youth affiliates
- Collaborates with Sr. Programs Manager and other OCA staff
- Facilitate OCA workshops for youth programs
- Some domestic travel required
- Other duties as assigned

- Deep understanding and passion for Asian American and Pacific Islander issues
Compensation: Salary is $58,656 with variable compensation potential. The individual will be responsible for their own relocation costs to Washington, DC. Benefits include paid vacation, health care, vision, employer subsidized dental and transit, cellphone stipend, and employer matching Simple IRA.
