Dear John,
At GLSEN, diversity, equity, and inclusion are intrinsic to all of our work. We won’t back down on our mission to make our nation’s educational spaces safer, more inclusive, and affirming for all students, especially those most marginalized by our society.
SUPPORT OUR MISSION: [link removed]
Recent attacks on DEI initiatives from our current presidential administration have vilified policies that aim to provide equal opportunities to traditionally underrepresented communities. The motive behind these attacks seeks to weaken our democracy by creating adversity in places that we have actively fought to make safer.
This profound shift in our nation’s culture threatens to eliminate organizations, like GLSEN, that work toward building a better future for LGBTQ+ young people.
It is imperative that we continue moving forward with our programming, research, and political activity that create opportunities for LGBTQ+ students and provide insight into our nation’s school environments.
DONATE TO GLSEN TODAY: [link removed]
Donors, like you, have been instrumental in our work in the past and present, and we need you in the future. We promise to build power and safety through our organizational network of supportive educators, chapters all across the country, and our GLSEN-connected students.
Your support today means that students all across the country will continue to receive support and resources that will enable them to thrive.
Onward,
Melanie Willingham-Jaggers
