Republicans want you to believe we have to choose between securing our border and treating people humanely. That’s not true. We can do both – and Democrats are working to make it happen.



We are a nation of laws and immigrants. We support strong and secure borders and fixing our immigration system. That means 1) investing in more border patrol officers and judges to reduce wait times, 2) strengthening the asylum process to help those fleeing danger, and 3) increasing technology systems to detect fentanyl and dangerous drugs before they enter our communities.

We do not support Trump’s patchwork executive orders that would eliminate birthright citizenship, stoke fear in our communities, and come at an enormous cost to taxpayers. That’s not leadership—that’s chaos.
