God's Green Earth

United Methodists don’t just respond to climate-driven disasters after they happen, they work to prevent them. The Global Ministries EarthKeepers program trains clergy and laity for environmental stewardship. EarthKeepers then take what they’ve learned to develop an environmental project for their church and community.

The Missouri Conference aims to model environmental stewardship for its local churches. In December, solar panels were installed at the Conference office in Columbia and will almost completely offset the electricity used in the building. Read more →
