Hi John,
You might’ve heard that the Wisconsin Supreme Court election will be one of the most important elections in the United States in 2025. [[link removed]] On April 1, Wisconsin voters will head to the polls and decide whether the Wisconsin Supreme Court maintains a pro-conservation, pro-democracy majority.
We endorsed Judge Susan Crawford for Wisconsin Supreme Court. [[link removed]] We’re confident she will defend our democracy, environment, and the people of Wisconsin. She is a strong advocate for the values that make Wisconsin great – fairness, accountability, and a commitment to serving the people, not corporations. Judge Crawford will ensure that our State Supreme Court remains independent and dedicated to upholding the rights and freedoms of all Wisconsinites.
Like every statewide election in Wisconsin, it’ll be close and come down to every vote. That’s why we need your help. Together, we can send 20,000 handwritten postcards to voters across Wisconsin. To put that number in perspective, Tammy Baldwin and Donald Trump each won Wisconsin by 29,000 votes in the 2024 election. Handwritten postcards are an effective way to reach voters and remind them of the importance of this election. Plus, it’s something you can do with your friends and family.
There are a few ways you can take action:
* Sign up here [[link removed]] to have a packet of postcards delivered to you. We’ll include instructions, stamps, and of course the postcards.
* Sign up here [[link removed]] to host a postcard party of your own. We’ll send all of the supplies, along with instructions to host your party.
* Stay tuned for postcard parties in your neck of the woods. Jessica, Ian, and Maxwell are all organizing postcard parties in the coming weeks.
There’s so much on the line this election. The State Supreme Court is sure to hear cases about protecting our environment from corporate polluters and defending our democracy. There will also likely be cases that will decide LGBTQ+ rights, abortion access, Act 10 and labor rights, and many more cases that impact our daily lives. It will take all of us to protect what we hold dear.
Thanks for being a conservation voter,
Seth Hoffmeister
